I Have the Best Dad in the World

Father and Daughter Dancing Momentum Consulting

I can say with conviction that Momentum Consulting co-founder Craig Clark also happens to be the best dad in the world. 5 years ago I gave him a journal with 20 reasons why that’s the case. I recently found the journal and wanted to share it. Especially for those of you who are fathers or plan to be one day. Think of it as a “how to”! Here’s what I wrote.

“Congrats! You have survived 20 full years of being my Dada. Here are 20 reasons why you are the best father in the universe! Love, Babygirl”

The list goes on but here are the first 20…

  1. Your love for me is infinite and unconditional.

  2. You stopped telling me what to do.

  3. You meet me where I’m at even when where I am is really far away…

  4. You believe in me more than anyone else.

  5. You know and acknowledge my strength.

  6. You let me hit rock bottom (more than once haha) and then offered me your hand to help pull me back up.

  7. You have never doubted my potential/ability to be an outstanding human being (at least not that I’m aware of haha).

  8. You take me seriously.

  9. You see me.

  10. You taught me how to respond when guys are being total assholes (there are a few sore noses thanks to that).

  11. You beat cancer for me (even if you claim it was for other reasons we both know you did it for me haha).

  12. You give up your need to be right.

  13. You have always treated me as your equal.

  14. You are honest with me.

  15. You have never let me get away with calling myself stupid.

  16. You make me laugh.

  17. You have given me everything you have to offer.

  18. You’ve said no (and my personal growth thanks you for it).

  19. You have NEVER once judged me and have created a space for me to literally tell you anything without fear.

  20. You have always made it crystal clear that I am going to change this world and have never wavered in that belief.

Loving daughter,

Caitlyn Rose
