Are you walking the path or watching it?

Recently, I had a major realization about myself—I tend to get caught up in knowing where I'm headed, constantly fixating on the next step out of fear that I won't reach my destination.

The problem with this pattern is Every time I raise my head to survey the path, I inadvertently hit pause on my progress and performance.

I find myself in a season of life overflowing with incredible opportunities, and it's easy to get carried away, always looking ahead instead of fully embracing the present. There were times when I felt guilty for hitting the pause. However, I've come to realize that this is the part I don't want to miss. This is when the real magic happens.

I don’t want to miss this part. This part, living in the present moment and allowing myself to have fun and experience the thrill of now. Whether you're in a season of expansion or contraction, I assure you, this is not something you want to miss. Consider this your invitation, your permission to slow down and be fully present. You absolutely want to be present in this beautiful part of life.

To serve as a reminder, I wrote this poem—for both you and myself:

I don’t want to miss this part.

Where all possibility is a product of our own magic

And the only thing we have to flaunt is our vulnerability,

The part where the explanation for what we’re up to doesn’t exist anywhere other than the  coursing blood within our veins.

I don't want to miss the part where our faith plants seeds, sprouting roots that touch the very core of the Earth—our tree of life, unyielding, reaching out to connect with other resilient trunks.

Where the only reassurance is in the remembrance that we’ve done this many times before.

Studying the ancient wisdom etched between each rib and vertebra.

I don’t want to miss this part only to look back and wonder if there’s any possibility of returning to this very moment so I can actually show up.

I don't want to miss this part where I arrive and witness the world awestruck as I take my first steps down the red-carpeted path of grace.

I don't want to miss this part where glimpses of my own reflection bring tears of joy to my eyes allowing me to marvel at what I've co-created with God.

Where my only permission to play comes from the understanding that this is precisely how it’s meant to be. Remembering enjoyment as a birthright rather than a privilege.

This is the part where I astonish myself with my natural ability to fall in love with the entire world with just one glance.

Don’t miss this part.

Let's talk about being present and how it can imbibe joy into our day-to-day lives. Laugh a little every day, don't take things too seriously, and embrace the beauty that surrounds us. Being fully present changes everything – from how we approach our work and growth to the relationships we build with ourselves and others.

Fundamental #10: KEEP THINGS FUN

Our day-to-day work problems are small compared to those facing most of the world. Laugh every day; don’t take things too seriously.
